The City’s Shop & Dine Gift Card program was a remarkable success. It encouraged consumers to shop in Lancaster for everyday purchases, services and big ticket items. When a shopper accumulated $300 in sales receipts from local purchases they could trade them in for a $30 Shop & Dine Lancaster gift card. Over 3,300 gift cards were issued in under a month representing more than a million dollars in retail purchases made within the City. While the supply of $30 Gift Cards has been exhausted, cards may still be redeemed until October 15, 2009.

A similar program offered in conjunction with Lancaster car, truck and motorcycle dealers is even more exciting. Each time a family buys a new car from a participating dealer, they’ll qualify for a rebate of their registration fees in the form of a Shop & Dine Lancaster gift card. This can add up to hundreds of dollars which can be spent in local stores participating in the program.

Nearly every licensed business in the City is eligible to participate. Simply agree to our rules and we’ll place you on the list. Once you’re On the List, you are authorized to accept these cards and receive 100 percent reimbursement from the City.
